MIDDLESBROUGH EMPIRE UNDER 18 EVENTS POLICY

Prevention of Harm to Children will be promoted by the following policies:
Persons under the age of 18 are not admitted onto the premises unless its an under 18’s event, then the following rules will apply:

DOORS: 3PM TILL 9PM

RULES

Security Rules & Policies: At each and every Empire under 18's events our priority will remain safety before, during and also after the event. A professional registered security team all having had a criminal records check for suitability, will be on hand to assist anyone at all times and Empire Security will also be available to assist and answer any questions. Additionally The Empire has a fully qualified paramedic who will be on the premises should he/she be required.

Age Limits: ITS 14 TO 17 YEAR OLDS ONLY.

Alcohol & Drugs Policy : Alcohol & drugs are not tolerated whatsoever.
At no time at any Empire under 18's event is alcohol served. All points of sale for alcoholic beverages will be covered and only non-alcoholic soft drinks are on display. There will be no glasses or bottles of soft drinks sold they will all be sold in a plastic glass. If any patrons are found to have been drinking prior to the event, they are pulled to one side and an Empire member of Security staff will speak to them. The Empire will not tolerate any patrons deemed to be under the influence of Alcohol & or drugs at the point of entry to the venue and if any are found we will contact their parents or guardian and ask them to collect the child or children. The Empire will not turn away any patrons without making sure they are safe and that they can get picked up by a parent or Guardian.

Cigarettes: We do allow patrons into the venue with cigarettes, if they are over 16 (and have proof of their age) However, we do not allow cigarettes to be sold at the event as under age patrons could then purchase them. Our policy is to turn off any cigarette machines with which they could gain access.

Searches: Random searches are carried out with both the female and male Security staff of patrons wishing to gain access to any Empire under 18's event refusal to allow such searches will result in the refusal of entry to the venue.

Bullying & Bad Behaviour Policy: All patrons are required to treat the venue and others with respect. The Empire operates a very strict anti bullying policy and we ask all our patrons to treat the venue and others with respect. If we discover any patrons intimidating others, pushing and shoving or attempting to jump the queue they will not gain entry. Also, if we discover any patrons fighting or using inappropriate language they will again be escorted out of the venue and a parent or Guardian will be called to pick them up.

Disobedience Policy: Any patron who disobeys the Empire’s rules will be removed from the venue and sent home. If it is a serious offence they will also be banned from attending any future Empire under 18's events and their membership will be cancelled. As with the rule we will contact a Parent or Guardian to arrange pick up.

Exit Policy: At the end of each under 18's event the Empire aim to promote a quick, calm and quiet exit.

Dress code: We do not allow patrons to wear, hoodies or baseball caps, steel capped shoes or any offensive wear however trainers and jeans are okay. If any patrons do wear any listed items they will be asked to put them in the cloakroom by a member or the Security staff or if they don't cooperate, we will refuse entry to the venue. Again as with all refusals we would contact their parents or guardian and ask them to collect the child or children.
